More About The Characters

Simone

Simone describes herself as a “nerd, but not the high-salaried kind.” Having gone to college for creative writing, she now finds herself working as a secretary at the main offices of Corporation X.  Though it could definitely be worse, she is hoping to wake up any minute now.

When not under fluorescent lights, she enjoys listening to prog-rock, cheap beer, and browsing wikipedia. She lives in a 2 bedroom apartment with Rachel, her closest friend.

Rachel

Possessing an impressive array of novelty jewelry and band t-shirts, Rachel is the highest earning and most popular waitress at the Bistro. Happy to have a job that lets her “be herself” and makes enough money for “rent, good food, and some nice stuff,” she has carved out a more or less stable existence. Although often seen with Paul, she eschews conventional definitions of relationships (and hates the term “boyfriend”).

Rachel has a tattoo of an ace of spades on her upper arm.

Other Characters

Paul

Paul lives in “basically a slum,” otherwise known as graduate student housing, and is currently spending a lot of time with Rachel.

Lanie is Simone’s boss at Corporation X.

Alice is another secretary in Simone’s office.
